The mission of 2013 Shinki-Kai Golf Tournament is to award scholarship to needy students both in Canada and Japan. In Canada, these scholarships are offered to students who need financial help to achieve their academic goals. In Japan the Fund were and will be offered to needy children who lost their parents and houses during the March 2011 earthquake and devastating Tsunami.
Last year, Shinki-kai raised $28000.00 together with Rotary Club from various charity events, including this golf tournament. $ 8000.00 was offered to 4 Canadian students and $ 20,000.00 was offered to 4 Japanese students at Miyagi University of Education, Tohoku area, who were most affected by the Tsunami.
This scholarship program has been Shinki-kai ongoing activities since 1991 and we like to continue with this tradition this year and the coming years. It’s our pleasure and pride to continue with this undertaking to help the Japanese students again, in the same area. Therefore we urge you to support 2013 Shinki-kai Golf Tournament, so that we can offer scholarship to Japanese and Canadian students to help them fulfill their academic dreams. Shinki-kai will be very thankful for your kind considerations, participation, sponsorship and donations. Together, let’s make this a success.
